About Jason
Jason Kaplan is a outdoor adventure based photographer specializing in landscapes and night scenes. He grew up at 9,500' above the town of Evergreen, Colorado where he started skiing at the age of 2. At the age of 7 he tried snowboarding and by 9 he was fully converted. Now in his 30's Jason has had a good amount of experience riding in the back country an on the big mountains, claiming 2 first snowboard descents.
His other interests include climbing, canyoneering, caving, kayaking, slack lining and really any activity that gets the blood going, especially in a beautiful setting. Jason aspires to become a great adventurer getting to see and experience the most wild and inspiring places the world has to offer. In the process he wants to share the experience and tell the stories from a perspective that most people can only dream of. In doing so he hopes to inspire people to get out and see what they might be missing, and at the very least have a reason to care about protecting these places.
